Maryport launches HUG A MUG
To coincide with World Mental Health Day on October 10th 2017 we launched our HUG A MUG project in Maryport.
This free and friendly guidance café, located upstairs in Maryport Health Services, is open to everyone, whatever their age, situation or postcode. HUG A MUG is a safe and social space where people can get advice on all sorts of things like health and well-being, housing, work, finance or family problems.
The café is staffed by trained volunteers and people can get FREE hot drinks to drink in or takeaway. There’s free phone and internet access and plenty of resources to signpost people to the right support.
It is Open weekdays from 9.30am – 11.30am
HUG A MUG is managed by Ann-Marie Steel and operated by the Ewanrigg Local Trust in partnership with Maryport Health Services.
Here’s Ann-Marie at the first session with our fab HUG A MUG cake. And lots of our partners stopped by to say hello.
